Temperatures are cooling down. The rocks are starting to get that fantastically sticky velcro feeling. Young boulder toads are hopping around the boulderfields of Boone, tearing things up.
One such climber is Alex Savage. On an extended road trip, I met him at the Triple Crown Hound Ears event. Alex is a very accomplished boulderer, but you'd never know it. Friendly and unassuming, he stuck around after Hound Ears to climb in the area. Check out this neat video he made.
